Given : A fruit merchant packs 100 apples in each carton and requires 20 cartons to pack all the apples later he decides to pack only 80 apples in each carton

To Find :  how many cartons will he require to pack the same quantity of apples

Solution:

Apples in one carton = 100 Apples

Cartons  = 20

Total Apples = Number of cartons x Apples in one carton

= 20 x 100

= 2000 Apples

Number of Apples on one carton = 80

Number of Cartons required = 2000/80

= 200/8

= 25
