A fruit seller bought 75 kg apples at 30 per kg.
He sold one-third apples at a loss of 5%. At what
rate should he sell the remaining so that his
overall gain is 10%?

Answer:

Cp of 75 kg apples = 30 *7

profit needed= 10%

therefore sp of 75kg apples = 2475rupees

cp of 25 kg apples= 750 rupees

sp of 75 kg apples = 712.5 rupees

therefore he has to sell the remaining 50 kgs in 2475 -712.5 rupees= 1762.5 rupees

therfore sp of 1 kg = 1762.5 / 50 = 35.25 rupees
