☃️Question:

A fruit seller bought bananas at the rate of 3 for ₹8 and sold them at the rate of 2 for ₹7. Find his gain or loss percent.

Answer:

CP of 3 bananas = ₹ 8

SP of 2 bananas = ₹ 7

CP of 1 banana = ₹ 8/3

SP of 1 banana = ₹ 7/2

Gain = ₹ 7/2 - ₹8/3 = ₹21 - ₹16/6 = ₹5/6

Gain % = ₹ 5/6 × 100/1

___________ = ₹5 × 100 × 3/₹ 5 × ₹ 8 {Cancel it.}

₹8/3

= (5 × 25/2 × 2)% = 125/4% (Divide it.)

= 31.25%
