 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

Find the cost price of 1 mango:

12 mangoes = Rs 90

1 mango = 90 ÷ 12 = Rs 7.50

Find the selling price of 1 mango:

8% loss = 0.08 xx 7.5 = Rs 0.60

Selling Price = 7.50 - 0.60 = Rs6.90

Find the selling price of 40 mangoes:

1 mango = Rs 6.90

40 mangoes = 40 x 6.90 = Rs 276

Answer: The customer pays (a) Rs 6.90 for one mango and (b) Rs 276 for 40 mangoes.
