price of a dozen oranges = Rs 4
cost of oranges = Rs 4 * 504 / 12 =  Rs 168

Selling price of oranges = Rs 5 a dozen
revenue from 240 oranges =  Rs 5 * 240 / 12  =  Rs 100

Selling price of oranges = Rs 6 a dozen
revenue from  (504 - 240) oranges =  264 *  Rs 6 / 12 = Rs 132

total revenue = Rs 232

total gain = Rs 232 - Rs 168 =  Rs 64
gain %  = 64 / 168  * 100 = 800/21 %  =  38.5 %
