must sell each orange at Rs 8.55  to get 10% profit on overall transaction if 200 bought at 6 , 200 bought at 8 and 40 were unsellable.

Step-by-step explanation:

buys a stock of 200 oranges at 6 each

=> Cost Price = 200 * 6 = Rs 1200

buys a stock of 200 oranges at 8 each

=> Cost Price = 200 * 8 = Rs 1600

Total Cost Price = 1200 + 1600 = Rs 2800

Total Oranges = 200 + 200 = 400

Rotten = 40

Sellable Orange = 400 - 40 = 360 Oranges

Selling Price of  Each Orange = P

Total Selling Price = 360P

360P  = 2800 + (10/100)2800

=> 360P = 3080

=> P = 77/9 = 8.55 Rs

must sell each orange at Rs 8.55
