Solution :

Here , the fruit seller buys mangoes at Rs. 350 per 100 .

So, 100 mangoes cost him Rs. 350

Therefore , cost of each mango is Rs. 3.5

Now , he sells them @ Rs. 48 per dozen .

Hence , the selling price of each mango is Rs. 4

We can clearly observe that :

Selling Price > Cost Price .

Hence , he gains a profit .

Profit = Selling Price - Cost Price

=> Profit = Rs. 4 - Rs. 3.5

=> Profit = Rs. 0.5

Now , initial cost price is Rs. 3.5

Required Profit Percentage = [ 0.5 / 3.5 × 100 ] ‰

=> [ 100/7 ] ‰

=> 14 2/7 ‰ .

This is the answer .
