Given :-

To Find :-

Number of apples

Solution :-

Let the CP of apple and banana be a

CP of apple = 5 × a = 5a

CP of banana = 2 × a = 2a

Now

ATQ

We know that

SP = (100 + Profit %)/100 × CP

SP = (100 + 20)/100 × 5a

SP = 120/100 × 5a

SP = 24/20 × 5a

SP = 24/4 × a

SP = 24a/4

SP = 6a

Now

On bananas

SP = (100 + Profit%)/100 × CP

SP = (100 + 15)/100 × 2a

SP = 115/100 × 2a

SP = 23/20 × 2a

SP = 23a/10

Now

Total SP = 5a + 2a

Total SP = 7a

Total CP = 6a + 23a/10

Total CP = 60a + 23a/10

Total CP = 83a/10

Now

Profit = SP - CP

Profit = 83a/10 - 7a

390 = 83a - 70a/10

390 × 10 = 83a - 70a

3900 = 13a

3900/13 = a

300 = a
