Answer:

Given :

gain in 1 dozen mangoes  = Rs. 100

and Loss in 1 dozen of apple = Rs. 25

To find :

Net gain or loss on the whole transaction

Explanation:

here ,

gain in 1 dozen mangoes  = Rs. 100

then

gain in 5 dozen mangoes  = Rs. 100 ×5 = Rs. 500

now ,

Loss in 1 dozen of apple = Rs. 25

then,

loss  in 8 dozen apples  = Rs. 25 ×8 = Rs. 200

here,

Cost price < selling price

then,

the profit occurred

and total gain= 500-200 = Rs. 300

hence , there is a profit of Rs. 300 in the whole transaction...

hope it helps uh...
