Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • CP of Orange = 7 for Rs.10 .
  • Profit = 40% .

Tᴏ Fɪɴᴅ :-

  • a customer get how many orange in Rs10. ?

Fᴏʀᴍᴜʟᴀ ᴜsᴇᴅ :-

  • SP = [CP * (100 + Profit%) ] / 100

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

→ CP of 7 Orange = Rs.10

→ CP of 1 Orange = Rs.(10/7)

→ SP of 1 Orange when Profit is 40% = [ (10/7) * (100 + 40) ] / 100 = (10 * 140) / (100 * 7) = Rs.2 .

Therefore,

In Rs.2 The customer Get = 1 orange .

→ In Rs.10 The customer Gets = 5 Orange (Ans.)

Hence, customer gets 5 Orange in Rs10.

Answer:

Cost Price ( CP) of 1 Orange :

\dashrightarrow\:\textsf{CP of 7 Oranges = Rs. 10}\\\\\dashrightarrow\:\sf CP\:of\:1\:Orange = \dfrac{Rs.\:10}{7}

\rule{100}{0.8}

Selling Price ( SP) of 1 Orange :

:\implies\sf SP=CP \times \dfrac{100+Profit}{100}\\\\\\:\implies\sf SP = \dfrac{Rs.\:10}{7} \times \dfrac{(100 + 40)}{100}\\\\\\:\implies\sf SP = \dfrac{Rs.\:10}{7} \times \dfrac{140}{100}\\\\\\:\implies\sf SP = Rs.\:2

\rule{150}{1}

\underline{\bigstar\:\textsf{Purchase by Customer in 10 rupees :}}

\dashrightarrow\:\textsf{In Rs. 2 = 1 Orange can purchased}\\\\\\\dashrightarrow\:\textsf{In Rs. 1}\:\sf =\dfrac{1}{2}\: Orange\:can \:purchased\\\\\\\dashrightarrow\:\:\textsf{In Rs. 10}\:\sf =\dfrac{1}{2} \times 10\: Oranges \:can \:purchased\\\\\\\dashrightarrow\:\:\textsf{In Rs. 10 = \textbf{5 Oranges} can purchased}

\therefore\:\underline{\textsf{Customer will get \textbf{5 Oranges} in 10 rupees}}.
