Final selling price = 11.25 Rs. per kg. of mango.

Given:

A fruit seller sells mangoes at the rate of RS. 9 per kg.

Loses = 20%.

To find:

At what price per kg, he should have sold them to make of 5%

Explanation:

  • At loss of 20 % He sells the mango at 9 per kg.
  • If he gain 5% he should makeup the loss 20% and after that he should gain 5%
  • So total is 25% of 9 rupees
  • So final selling price = 9 + \frac{25}{100} × 9
  •     Final selling price = 11.25 Rs. per kg. of mango.
