Answer:

rate of Dozen(projected) =X

4 dozen=4x

After discount he will get9×4÷10=3.6x for 4 dozen

3.6x for 4 dozen and( 0 for 1 free dozen)

So totally 5 dozen he sold for 3.6x which is equal to 20%profit he would get from actual price

Let real price =y

5dozen =5y

20%profit=6y

6y=3.6x

Y=0.6x

X=1.66y

The cost should increased by 166%

Selling price would be Rs 6/- per dozen.

Bought 50 dozen @4 = 200

10 dozen wasted. So left with 40 dozen. He wants 20% (40/- 20% of 200 )profit, so he need to sell 40 dozens for 240.
