There is overall 11% loss on mangoes.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Profit on one third of mangoes = 15%

Loss on remaining part of mangoes = 24%

Remaining part is given by

1-\dfrac{1}{3}\\\\=\dfrac{3-1}{3}\\\\=\dfrac{2}{3}

So, we will use "Mixture and Allegations":

Profit                Loss

 15                   -24

             x

--------------------------------

x+24     :       15-x

1             :       2

According to question, we get that

\dfrac{x+24}{15-x}=\dfrac{1}{2}\\\\2(x+24)=15-x\\\\2x+48=15-x\\\\2x+x=15-48\\\\3x=-33\\\\x=-11

Hence, there is overall 11% loss on mangoes.
