Answer:

The fruit vendor has 260 mangoes, 292 oranges, and 220 apples

Since He sells each of these fruits in a package containing the same no. of fruits of the same kind and has found that 4 apples, 4 oranges, and 4 mangoes are left out.

So the minimum no. of fruit packages is

HCF of (260-4), (292 -4 ), ( 220 - 4)

That is the HCF of 256, 288, 216

Now

256 = 2 ×2×2×2×2×2×2×2

288 = 2 ×2 ×2×2 ×2 ×3 ×3

216 = 2 ×2×2 ×3×3×3

So the required answer is = 2 ×2×2 = 8
