Answer:

45 fruits

Step-by-step explanation:

Fruit vendor has 990 apples and 945 oranges

And He packs them into basket. Each basket contains only one of the two fruit but in equal number of fruits to be put in each basket in order to have minimum number of basket.

So we have to find the Highest common factor of numbers of apples and oranges , As :

990 = 2 × 3 × 3 × 5 × 11

And

945 = 3 × 3 × 3 × 5 × 7

So,

HCF ( 990 , 945 ) = 3 × 3 × 5 = 45 ,

So,If he packs 45 of a kind of fruit in one basket he can pack all of his fruits in minimum numbers of basket.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Least no. of students

No. of fruits (either 0 or A) given to each should be max

H.C.F of 732 & 942

No. of fruits given to each students

79

2

=122×6;942=157×6

∴ H.C.F=6

∴  No of students =

6

732

+

6

942

=122+157=279
