Height and Position of the image will still remain same after cutting the lens.
But why?
- First of all, when an object is placed in front of a lens, there are infinite number of rays originating from the object which are responsible for production of image.
- Now, when half part of the lens is cut off, half of the rays are unable to undergo refraction. But still the other half amount of rays will be able to produce the image at the same distance with the same image characteristics.
- The only difference will be that: The newer image will have lesser intensity, i.e. the image will be less bright.
So image characteristics/distance will still remain same.
Hope It Helps.
