A function is defined by f(x) = 3 - 2x
we have to find x such that, f(x²) = (f(x))². [ you forgot to write square symbol in RHS ]
place x² in place of x to find f(x²)
i.e., f(x) = 3 - 2x²
now, 3 - 2x² = (3 - 2x)²
or, 3 - 2x² = 3² + (2x)² - 2(3)(2x)
or, 3 - 2x² = 9 + 4x² - 12x
or, 4x² + 2x² - 12x + 9 - 3 = 0
or, 6x² - 12x + 6 = 0
or, x² - 2x + 1 = 0
or, (x - 1)² = 0
or, x = 1
hence, answer is x = 1
