The value of f(x) at x = 0 , 2 , - 3 are - 3 , 7 , - 18 respectively

Given :

The function f(x) = 5x - 3

To find :

The value of f(x) at x = 0 , 2 , - 3

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Write down the given function

Here the given function is f(x) = 5x - 3

Step 2 of 2 :

Find value of f(x) at x = 0 , 2 , - 3

f(x) = 5x - 3

Putting x = 0 in both sides of f(x) we get

f(0) = ( 5 × 0 ) - 3

⇒ f(0) = 0 - 3

⇒ f(0) = - 3

Putting x = 2 in both sides of f(x) we get

f(2) = ( 5 × 2 ) - 3

⇒ f(2) = 10 - 3

⇒ f(2) = 7

Putting x = - 3 in both sides of f(x) we get

f(- 3) = ( 5 × - 3) - 3

⇒ f(- 3) = - 15 - 3

⇒ f(- 3) = - 18

Hence the value of f(x) at x = 0 , 2 , - 3 are - 3 , 7 , - 18 respectively
