Yes, the statement is true

Explanation:

We know that there are two connection to the electric supplies

One is live while the other one is ground

Fuse is attached to the devices to break the circuit when there is the excess flow of current and there is a likely hood of the device getting damaged

Therefore, connecting the fuse to the ground connection would not serve the purpose, it has to be connected to the live wire to break the circuit and save devices
