Area of garden = l*b
=90*75
=6750
Area of outer rectangle=(90+5+5)*(75+5+5)
=100*85
=8500
Area of path = Area of outer rectangle - Area of garden
=8500-6750
=1750m²

Your answer:

Area of big rectangle

  = l \times b

  \small{= (5 + 90 + 5) \times (5 + 75 + 5)}

 = 100 \times 85

 = 8500 {m}^{2}

Area of small rectangle

 = l  \times b

 = 90 \times 75

 = 6750 {m}^{2}

Area of path

= Area of big rectangle - Area of small rectangle

= 8500 - 6750 m²

= 1750m²
