l=110m

b=85m

area=l×b

inner area=110×85

=9350m sq

outer area =110+4+4×85+4+4

=118×93

= 10974msq

outer - inner =10974ms-9350ms

=1624msq

area of path=1624msq

The area of the path is 1624 sq.m. and  the area of Garden is 0.935 hectares

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of garden= 110 m

Breadth of garden = 85 m

Area of garden = Length \times Breadth = 110 \times 85 = 9350 sq.m.

1 sq.m. = 0.0001 hectares

9350 sq.m. =0.0001 \times 9350

9350 sq.m. =0.935 hectares

So, area of garden is 0.935 hectares

A path 4 m wide is to be built outside around it

Outer length = 110+4+4=118 m

Outer breadth = 85+4+4 = 93 m

Area of path = Outer area - Inner area =(118 \times 93)-(110 \times 85)=1624 sq.m.

Hence the area of the path is 1624 sq.m. and  the area of Garden is 0.935 hectares
