a garden is 150 M long and 120 metre wide there are two circular skating flowers with radius radius equal to 35 and 42 in the garden find the cost of covering the remaining portion of the garden with grass @ rupees 1.25 per metre square​

Answer: rupees 10757.5

Explanation: As the dimensions are given thus it is a rectangle

length of rectangle= 150 m

breadth of rectangle = 120 m

radius of smaller circle be r1 = 35 m

radius of larger circle be r2 = 42 m

area of field to be covered with grass  = area of rectangle - area of smaller circle - area of bigger circle

= 150 × 120 - π×35×35 - π×42×42

= 18000 - π(35×35 +42×42

= 18000 - 22/7×2989

= 18000 - 9394

= 8606 m²

cost of covering grass per metre square = 1.25

total cost of covering 8606 metre per square = 8606 × 1.25

                                                                            = 10757.5

total cost of covering grass is rupees 10757.5
