a garden is 20m by 16m.In the middle of the garden, there Ist Square cemented platform of side 3m. Find the cost of weeding the garden at the rate of rs7 per sq. m.
How can i do i Hf ad tried very much but the answer comimg wrong please help me ​

Answer:-

Total cost will be 2177 rupees.

Solutions-:

Given -:

Dimensions of the rectangular garden :-

Length(l) = 20m

Breath(b) = 16m

Area of the rectangular garden = (l*b)

⇒ (20*16)m²

⇒(320) m²

Also we have-:

Side of the cemented square = 3 m

Area of the square = (side)²

Area of the square = (3)² m²

Area of the square =9 m²

Area of the weeding part of the garden

= Total area of garden - Area ofcemented Square.

⇒(320 - 9) m²

⇒(311) m²

And we have-:

Cost of weeding 1 m² = 7 rupees

Cost of weeding 311 m² = 311*7 rupees

Cost of weeding 311 m² = 2177 rupees

Therefore-:

Total cost will be 2177 rupees.
