Area of flower bed= (45×35)-(40×30)
= 1575-1200
= 375 m sq.
Area of grassy path=(50×40)-(45×35)
= 2000-1575
= 1425 m sq.

Area of flower bed = 350 m²

Area of grassy path = 375 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

garden = 40 m by 30 m

flower bed wide   = 2.5 m

wide grassy path = 2.5 m

solution

we get here Area of flower bed that is

Area of flower bed = 2 × flower bed wide ×  garden length + 2 × flower bed wide × garden width

Area of flower bed = 2 × 2.5 × 40 + 2 × 2.5 × 30

Area of flower bed = 350 m²

and

now here we get  Area of grassy path that is

Area of grassy path = 2 × grassy path wide ×  flower bed length + 2 × grassy path wide × flower bed width

Area of grassy path = 2 × 2.5 × 42.5 + 2 × 2.5 × 32.5

Area of grassy path = 375 m²
