Given :-

  • Length of garden = 68m
  • Breadth of garden = 52m
  • wide of path all around = 4m
  • Path building cost = ₹48.50 per m²

To Find :-

  • Total cost of path building all around the garden = ?

Solution :-

To calculate total cost of building path all around the garden garden , at first we have to find the area of path then calculate it's total cost of path building.

Calculation for Area of garden :-

=> Area of garden = Length × Breadth

[Length = 68m. Breadth = 52m]

=> Area = 68 × 52

=> Area = 3536m²

Calculation for Area of garden having 4m wide:-

=> Area of garden = Length × Breadth

[Length = 68 + 4 × 2 = 76m. Breadth = 52 + 4 × 2 = 60m]

=> Area = 76 × 60

=> Area = 4560m²

Calculation for Area of path :-

=> Area of path = outer Area - Inner Area

[Outer Area = 4560m². Inner Area = 3536m²]

=> Area = 4560 - 3536

=> Area = 1024m²

Calculation for total cost of building path :-

=> Total cost = Area of path × Rate

[Area of path = 1024m². Rate = 48.50m²]

=> Total cost = 1024 × 48.50

=> Total cost = ₹49664

Hence, total cost of building path = 49664 :-
