Area of the garden = l×b

= 90×75 = 6750 cm²........(1)

Area of the garden with path

= 95 × 80 = 7600cm²........(2)

Hence

area of the path = (2)-(1) = 7600 - 6750

= 850m²

Answer:

  • Area of path = 1750 m².

Step-by-step explanation:

{\underline{\bf Given:}}\\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf Length\;of\;garden=90\;m\\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf Breadth\;of\;garden=75\;m\\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf Length\;of\;garden\;with\;path = 90 + 5 + 5 = 100\;m\\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf Breadth\;of\;garden\;with\;path=75+5+5=85\;m

{\underline{\bf To\;Find:}}\\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf Area\;of\;path.

Now, firstly we will find area of garden and then we will find area of garden with path.

\longrightarrow \bf Area\;of\;garden=Length\times Breadth\\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf Area\;of\;garden= 90 \times 75\\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf Area\;of\;garden=6750\;m^{2}\\ \\ \\ \longrightarrow \bf Area\;of\;garden\;with\;path=Length\times Breadth\\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf Area\;of\;garden\;with\;path= 100 \times 85\\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf Area\;of\;garden\;with\;path = 8500\;m^{2}

Now, we know that,

\longrightarrow \bf Area\;of\;path=Area\;of\;garden\;with\;path-Area\;of\;garden\\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf Area\;of\;path = 8500\;m^{2}-6750\;m^{2}\\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf Area\;of\;path = 1750\;m^{2}

Hence, Area of path = 1750 m².
