According to question -

L = 90m

B = 75m

A path has to be build outside the garden of length 5 m wide.

Now,

We will add corners and plus five in both length and breadth because the path is 5 m wide.

= 90+5+5 = 90+10 = 100m

= 75 +5+5 = 75+10 = 85m

Now area = L * B

85*100 = 8500 square meter.

In hectare = 8500 ÷ 10000 = 0.85 hectares

Therefore,

0.85 hectares is the answer or 8500 metre.

2a(l+b+2a)=2*5(90+75+2*5)=1750m2
