Answer:

Perimeter of the garden = 55m

Length = 12m

Breadth = ?

b = 2(l+b)=55

=2(12+b)=55

=24+2b=55

=2b=55-24

=2b=31

=b=31/2

=b=15.5m

Answer:

  • 1063.92 is the required cost of manuring the garden.

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the Question

It is given that ,

  • Perimeter of garden = 55m
  • Length of garden ,L = 12m

we have to calculate the cost of manuring the garden at the rate of 5.72 per m² .

Firstly we calculate the width of garden .

Since the garden is in Rectangular .

So,

  • Perimeter = 2 (Length + Width)

⇢ 55 = 2 ( 12 + Width )

⇢ 55/2 = 12 + Width

⇢ 27.5 = 12 + Width

⇢ Width = 27.5 - 12

⇢ Width = 15.5 m

So, the width of garden is 15.5 m

Now, calculating the area of Rectangular Garden .

  • Area of Garden = Length × Width

⇢ Area of Garden = 15.5 × 12

⇢ Area of Garden = 186m²

Cost of manuring the garden is 5.72 per m²

  • Total Cost = Area of Garden × Cost of Manuring

substituting the value we get

⇢ Total Cost of Manuring = 186 × 5.72

⇢ Total Cost of Manuring = 1063.92

  • Hence, the total cost of manuring the garden is 1063 .92
