A garden is in the shape of a circle, it has many trees and that are both fruit bearing and ornamental. Two
mango trees A and B , and two Ashoka trees C and D are planted on the edge of the circle such that the
distance between each pair of mango and ashoka tree is 10m each. O is the centre of the garden and the
radius is 13m . The perpendicular distance OD , from the centre to AC is 5m and the ∠AOB = 120o
.
i) Find the measure of the angle ∠COD
ii) What is the distance between AC?
iii) Find the measure of the ∠OAB
iv) What is the measure if the ∠OCD?

Answer:

Probability tree diagrams are useful for both independent (or unconditional) probability and dependent (or conditional) probability.

The following tree diagram shows the probabilities when a coin is tossed two times. Scroll down the page for more examples and solutions on using probability tree diagrams.
