A garden is in the shape of a semicircle with a diameter of 40m. What is the area of the garden?
Use 3.14 as an approximation for π

d = 40m

r =  \frac{d}{2}  =  \frac{40}{2}  = 20m

\pi = 3.14

area \: of \: garden \:  =  \frac{\pi  {r}^{2} }{2}

 =  \frac{3.14 \times  {20}^{2} }{2}

 =  \frac{3.14 \times 400}{2}

 = 3.14 \times 200

 = 628 {m}^{2}
