$r = \frac{d}{2} = \frac{40}{2} = 20m$

$\pi = 3.14$

$area \: of \: garden \: = \frac{\pi {r}^{2} }{2}$

$= \frac{3.14 \times {20}^{2} }{2}$

$= \frac{3.14 \times 400}{2}$

$= 3.14 \times 200$

$= 628 {m}^{2}$
