   \boxed{\text{{given}}}
AB=100m,BC=60m and the width of the flower bed = 3m
IN RECTANGLE ABCD
Area of rec.ABCD =l×b
= 100×60
=6000m sq.
TO OBTAIN THE WIDTH OF REC. =EFGH
=BC-GH
=60-6 = 54m
TO OBTAIN THE LENGTH OF REC. = EFGH
=100-6 = 94m
then Area of rec EFGH = l×b
= 94×54 = 5076 m sq.
then, THE AREA OF THE FLOWER BED = AREA OF RECTANGLE ABCD - AREA OF RECTANGLE EFGH
=> 6000-5076 =
\boxed{\text{924 {m \: sq}.}}

Answer:

AB=100m,BC=60m and the width of the flower bed = 3m

IN RECTANGLE ABCD

Area of rec.ABCD =l×b

= 100×60

=6000m sq.

TO OBTAIN THE WIDTH OF REC. =EFGH

=BC-GH

=60-6 = 54m

TO OBTAIN THE LENGTH OF REC. = EFGH

=100-6 = 94m

then Area of rec EFGH = l×b

= 94×54 = 5076 m sq.

then, THE AREA OF THE FLOWER BED = AREA OF RECTANGLE ABCD - AREA OF RECTANGLE EFGH

=> 6000-5076 =

\boxed{\text{924 {m \: sq}.}}

924 m sq.
