Radius of a garden roller (r) = 1.4 / 2 = 0.7 m
and length of the garden roller (h) = 2 m
∴ Curved surface area of garden roller = 2πrh .
So, the area levelled of a garden roller in one revolution is 8.8 m2.
Now, area levelled of a garden in 5 revolutions = 8.8 x 5= 44m2

Given :-
- Length of the roller = 2 m
- Diameter of the roller = 1.4 m
- Number of revolutions = 10
To Find :-
- The area covered in 10 revolutions.
Solution :-
• Radius = Diameter/2
Where,
- R = Radius
- D = Diameter
Substituting their values,
⟶ R = 1.4/2
⟶ R = 0.7 m
Area covered = CSA of the roller
Area covered in 10 revolution = 10 × 2πrh
= 10 × 2 × 22/7 × 0.7 × 2
= 20 × 30.8/7
= 20 × 4.4
= 88 sq. m
Therefore, the area covered in 10 revolution is 88 sq. m.
