A gardener forgot to water the potted plant on a dry summer day. What will happen to the plant? Why? What will happen to the same plant on a humid day?

Explanation:

If a potted plant is not watered for a day during summer, the plant will wilt. This happens because of excessive water loss due to transpiration. In most of the cases, this is reversible by watering the plant in time. But if a long delay is made then, the plant cannot be revived.

Explanation:

When plants are not watered properly they wilt. ... When a plant is properly hydrated, there is enough water pressure to make the leaves strong and sturdy; when a plant doesn't get enough water, the pressure inside the stems and leaves drops and they wilt. Plants also need water for photosynthesis.
