Answer:

1. Least number to be added to 1000 is to be found.

  Least number to be added = 24

  Number of rows = Number of columns = 32

2. Cost price of 200 bulbs = 200 x 10 = 2000 rs.

   Selling price of 195 bulbs ( 5 bulbs are fused) = 195 x 12 = 2340 rs.

   Profit = Selling price - Cost price = 2340 - 2000 = 340 rs.

1000 is not a perfect square.

 \implies \tt{ {31}^{2}  < 1000  <  {32}^{2}  }

Number to be added:-

 \implies \tt{1024 - 1000} = 24

 \implies \tt{ 1000 + 24} =10 24

Hence, Gardener requires 24 more plants.
