a gardener has 1000 plants.He wants to put these in such a way that the number of rows and number and columns remains same .Find the minimum number of plants he needs more for this.(explanation not needed)

No.of rows = No. of columns means it can be square number. So, the square next to 1000 is 1024 = square of 32. Hence minimum extra required is 24.
