A gardener has 1300 saplings. He wants to plant these in such a way that the number of columns and the number of rows remain same. Find the least number of more saplings he needs for this.

Answer:

Take square root of 1300 by division method.

√1300 = 36 + remainder 4

(36+1)(36+1)

=37×37

=1369

The least number = 1369 - 1300

=69 Ans
