Length of rope needed is 2( circumference of circle)

= 4πr

Diameter= 21m

r= 21/2 m

Length of rope= 4*22/7*21/2

=132m

Cost of rope= 4 rupees per m

Cost= 528 rupees

Hope this helps

Given that:-

  • A gardener wants to fence a circular garden of diameter 21m.

  • He makes two rounds of fence

  • The cost of the rope, ₹ 4 per meter.

To find:-

  • The length of rope

  • Cost of rope

Answer:-

\bold{STEP-BY-STEP-EXPLANATION}

From the question it is given that,

Diameter of the circular garden = 21 m

We know that, radius (r) = d/2

= 21/2

= 10.5 m

Then,

Circumference of the circle = 2πr

= 2 × (22/7) × 10.5

= 462/7

= 66 m

So, the length of rope required = 2 × 66 = 132 m

Cost of 1 m rope = ₹ 4 [As given]

Cost of 132 m rope = ₹ 4 × 132

= ₹ 528

Therefore length of rope= 132m and cost of rope = rupees 528.
