Answer:

Given:-

  • Gardener wants to fence a circular garden of diameter 28 cm.

Find:-

  • Find the length of the rope he needs to purchase, if he makes two rounds of fence??
  • Find the cost of the rope if it cost rupees 5 per metre.

Solution:-

Diameter of circular garden = 28cm

We know that Radius is equal to half of diameter

  \sf{Radius  =  \frac{28}{2}  = 14m}

So, the radius is 14m

Circumference of circular garden:-

From the formula ⤵

{ \boxed{ \sf{Circumference  \: of \: circle= 2\pi \ \: r}}}

{ \to{2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 14}}

{ \to{2 \times 22 \times 2}}

{ \to{88m}}

So, the circumference of circular garden is 88m

He makes two rounds of fence

So, Total length of rope of fencing is :-

{ \to{2 \times 2\pi \: r}}

{ \to{2 \times 88 = 176m}}

So, Total length of rope of fencing is 176m

Since, Cost of 1 meter rope = Rs. 5

Cost of 176 m Rope = 5×176 = Rs. 880

↪Length of the rope he needs to purchase, if he makes two rounds of fence is 176m

↪The Total cost of the rope if it cost rupees 5 per metre is Rs. 880
