Given : A gardener wants to fence a circular garden of diameter 35 m .

he makes 5 rounds of fence.

costs ₹ 20 per metre

π = 22/7

To Find : The length of the rope he needs to purchase

the cost of the rope

Solution:

Circumference of a circle = 2πr

r = radius = Diameter/2  = 35/2   m

π = 22/7

Rope required for one round =  2 * (22/7) (35/2)

= 22 * 5

= 110 m

Rope required for 5 round = 5 * 110  = 550 m

cost of the rope = 550 * 20  = 11000 Rs
