A gardener wished to plant 375 plants in such a way that there are as many plants in each row as as there are number of rows he finds that there are 14 extra for this arrangement how many plans did he want to put in each row?

total no. of plants  = 375

no. of plants left out = 14

no. of plants used = 375 - 14

                               = 361

∴ no. of plants in each row = √361

                                              = 19
