A garment dealer allows his customers 10% discount on a marked price of the goods and still gets a profit of 25%. What is the cost price if the marked price of a shirt is rupees 1250.

SP = MP - Discount = 1250 - 10% of 1250 = 1125
CP = SP/(1+profit%/100) = 1125/1.25 = 900
cost price of a shirt is Rs. 900
