a) shirts 50 and 150 half shirts

Shirts =50 x 100 (profit) = 5000(profit)

Half pants = 150 x 50(loss) = 7500(loss)

Shop keeper loss or profit =5000-7500=-2500

Therefore , he received 2500 loss

if he sells 50 half pants = 50 ×50

= 250(loss)

To receive 5000 profit he need sell :

Shirts profit -250 =5000

Shirts profit=5000+250

= 5250

To get 5250 as profit on shirts he need to sell :

100x no. of shirts =5250

No.  \: shirts \:  =  \frac{5250}{100}  = 52.5 \\

53 approximate

So to get 5000 profit he need to sell 53 shirts
