A garrison off 1200 men has promising for 25 days. A reinforcement of 300 men arrives. For How many days will the provision last?

This is an inverse variation problem-:

1200=25days

After Reinforcement

1200+300=x days
1500=x days

Now in inverse variation we do,

1200*25=1500*x
1200*25/1500=x
x=20 days.

So if the 300 more men join then the provisions will last for 20 days.
