Given,

Temperature 1 (T1) = 400°C

= (400+273) K

= 673 K

Pressure 1 (P1) = 300 kPa

= 300000 Pa

Volume 1 (V1) = 0.2 m³

Pressure 2 (P2) = 800 kPa

= 800000 Pa

Volume 2 (V2) = 0.04 m³

By Ideal Gas Equation,

P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2

= (300000*0.2)/673 = (800000*0.04)/T2

= 60000/673 = 32000/T2

= 60000T2 = (32000*673)

= 60000T2 = 21536000

= T2 = 21536000/60000

= T2 = 358.93 K

or,

= T2 = (358.93-273)°C

= T2 = 85.93°C

The Final Temperature will be 358.93 K or, 85.93°C.

Hope this helps!
