1. For real gas , it can be liquified by bringing the molecules closer to each other since there exists Van Der Waals force of attraction between the molecules in the real gas .

2. Bringing molecules closer can be done ,

There are 2 ways of making this occur :-

a. By keeping temperature constant and increasing the pressure .

b. By decreasing the temperature at constant pressure .

From the diag. it can be understood ,

at constant temperature , we are increasing the pressure . The phase of the water changes from vapor to liquid .

In this way liquification of gas can be done .
