⊙The critical temperature of carbon dioxide is high enough that it can be liquefied relatively easily at the room temperature

⊙By comparison the critical temperature of nitrogen gas is -147℃ and that of helium is -268℃.

The molecules of any gas are relatively are far apart from each other while molecules of liquid are are relatively close together . Gas molecules can move from one place to other wherever space is available to them . Gas molecules can be squeezed together by one of two methods 1. by increasing the pressure on gas 2.by lowering the temperature of gas.
