A gas is contained in a vessel of capacity 10 litres at a pressure of 20 atm. When this container is
connected to another empty container of the same capacity, find the new pressure of the gas. Assume
the temperature to be constant.
(Ans. 10 atm)

Hey MATE!
Since temperature is constant therefore we can apply P1V1 = P2V2
Where P1 is initial pressure, P2 is final pressure, V1 is initial volume and V2 is final volume.
It is given that the other container is of same volume, therefore V1 = V2 = 10 lit.
Now applying formula :
10 lit * 20 atm = 10 lit * P2 atm
=> P2 = 20 atm Answer
Hope it helps
