A gas is filled in a container at 27c. On increasing the temperature to 127c,1 litre of the gas escape out of the container. Calculate the volume of the container

V∝T 

so V1/V2=T1/T2 

V1/V2=(27+273)K/(127+273)K=3/4 

V2-V1=1L 

so V1=3L 

The volume of the container is 3L.
