p1=40mm

p2= 760mm(at S.T.P)

v1=700ml

v2=?

t1=15°c. = 15+273=288°k

t2= 0°c. = 0+273=273°k

=

 \frac{p1 \times v1}{t1}  =  \frac{p2 \times v2}{t2}

 \frac{40 \times 700}{288}  =  \frac{760 \times v2}{273}

972.223 =  \frac{760 \times v2}{273}

\frac{265416.879}{760}  = v2

Use combined gas eqn.

p1v1/T2=p2V2/T2

here P1=1 bar=760mm of Hg

T1=273k

Here you have to calculate V2.
