A gas occupies a volume of 4.5 litres (l) at a pressure of 1 atm. determine its volume if it pressure is increased to 1.25 atm at the same temperature.

here's your answer

Given :-

P₁ = 1 atm

v₁ = 4.5 litres (l)

P₂ = 1.25 atm

V₂ = ?

we know that

P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

1 atm × 4.5L = 1.25 atm × V₂

= V₂ = 1×4.5/1.25

= V₂ = 3.6 L
